Antiqued Script Linen Fabric

A few months ago I fell in love with an antique Eastlake settee & rocker at an antique store downtown. All that was left were the beautiful carved frames, horsehair stuffing and ancient satin and tattered red velvet fabric...they were fantastic. The Eastlake furniture style as envisioned by its namesake, Charles Lock Eastlake, came about in response to his dislike of the over-the-top Rococo and Renaissance Revival styles popular during the Victorian era.
When I saw this script fabric at the shop I just knew it would not be too fancy but just perfect....the upholsterer put numbers on all of the buttons and words like "mademoiselle" on the arms.
