Peach Bellini Shortbread Bars

Ingredients
1 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup Bellini Jam (available at Bonnes Amies)
1/2 cup Sliced almonds

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. *Grease a 9 X 13 inch pan.
In a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter and the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and mix. Add the flour and salt; blend until crumb mixture is formed. Spread the shortbread dough evenly in the prepared pan. Spread the Bellini jam over dough within ½ inch of the edge. Sprinkle almonds over the jam.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until dough is golden brown and bars are cooked in the center. Cool on a rack. Cut into bars.

Roasted Apple Chicken Salad


Ingredients
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3/4 Cup Roasted Apple Grille Sauce (Available at Bonnes Amies)
1/3 Cup granny smith apple, peeled, cored and chopped
1 tablespoon onion, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon thyme leaves
1/3 Cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
1/3 Cup toasted pecans, chopped (optional)
dried cranberries

Directions
In a deep skillet, cover chicken with water. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer until the chicken breasts are cooked through. Cool.
Chop the chicken into bite size pieces.
Combine all ingredients and serve chilled on crusty bread as a sandwich or over salad greens.

Birthday Breakfast At Roseanna's House


A little Birthday Breakfast this morning for our Madeline she just turned three how time flies! If you didn't know Roseanna is an amazing chef and her cinnamon rolls were to die for! Loved her sweet table layered with grey goods, burlap and a collection of blue & white transferware as well as her lovely brown ironstone pieces! She had a child's chair on the table as well with a glass jar sitting in the chair filled with a tiny tea set...
Pretty and perfect use for a oval domed cloche....

Eclectic Bedroom Makeover

 We had fun last week moving in this wonderful scrubbed and distressed turquoise oak chest into a new bedroom with beautiful shimmering copper walls...
 On top is one of our paintings we love so much of a saint with a wonderful aged patina went perfect with the feel of the room.
 The new addition added of this great bathroom with stonework behind the tub called for our wonderful Chief painting he really is featured below the chandelier...
 Every once in a awhile we are lucky to get in a few of these wonderful oil paintings of Indian portraits...
Starting a new room is always fun and exciting...the copper walls were inspiring now where can I use some of that shimmering paint in my home?

Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies

These are perfect for a lunchbox or beautiful stacked under a glass dome...The strawberry jam we carry is popular throughout the year and this is a fun recipe to try with it!

3/4 Cup butter, room temperature
1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter or Crunchy Peanut Butter
1/4 Cup plus 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
3/4 Cup brown sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 Cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 jar Stonewall Kitchen Strawberry Jam (Pick Up At Bonnes Amies)

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Beat together the butter and Creamy Peanut Butter or Chunky Peanut Butter until fluffy.
Add 1/4 cup granulated sugar and the brown sugar and beat until smooth.
Beat in the egg and vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking soda and salt and sift into the peanut butter mixture. Mix until uniform and smooth.
Pull pieces of dough and roll between your hands to form 1-inch balls.
Place cookie balls on a greased cookie sheet two inches apart. Make an indentation on each ball with your thumb or spoon, fill the indentation with approximately 1/4 Tsp. Stonewall Kitchen Strawberry Jam. Bake for 12 –15 minutes until golden brown on the edges. Cool on wire rack.
