Our Kitchen Is Stocked

 We are stocking our kitchen for the season ahead...if you have never tried our jams, pancake mixes, chutney, and sauces you are missing out! They are fantastic for recipes and easy simple gifts...
 Wrapped up in one of these cute pumpkin tea towels these products make a sweet gift for a friend...we always try to tie one of the recipes in the bow. Recently arrived is the Maple Bacon Aioli and Champagne Mustard great for sandwiches, Pumpkin Butter, Black Raspberry Jam, Apple Cider Jam, Maple Bacon Onion Jam (great for Pork Chops and meat dishes), the great Farmhouse Chutney (makes the best cheese ball ever! recipe below) and the new Mexican Chocolate Sauce (ask about the recipe for Chocolate Sundae with Sopaipillas and Spicy Mexican Hot Chocolate!). We also have in the large Farmhouse Pancake & Waffle mixes perfect for Saturday mornings...
Bacon, Spinach, Tomato and Avocado Sandwich
Makes 4
Ingredients:
8 slices artisanal crusty bread
Maple Bacon Aioli
12 slices applewood smoked bacon
1 cup fresh baby spinach
Fresh basil leaves
2 heirloom tomatoes, sliced 1/4-inch thick
2 avocados, sliced and slightly mashed
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Toast the bread.
Cook the bacon until crispy and brown. Set aside on paper towels.
Spread aioli on one side of each piece of toast.
Divide bacon, spinach, fresh basil leaves and tomatoes on 4 pieces of toast over the aioli.
Smash sliced avocado on other 4 pieces of toast. Put the smashed avocado toast on top to finish each sandwich and serve.
Old Farmhouse Chutney Cheese Ball
This unique blend of flavors will delight all your guests and become a favorite appetizer.
Ingredients:
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Old Farmhouse Chutney
1/4 cup scallion, diced
1 clove garlic, crushed
Dash of salt
Dash of pepper
1/2 cup Colby cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1/2 cup pecans
Directions:
Mix together the cream cheese, Old Farmhouse Chutney, scallion, garlic, salt and pepper.
Fold in the Colby and Monterey Jack cheeses.
Form the mixture into a ball and roll it into the chopped pecans.
