A historian by heart this customer adores her ranch home off the Caprock. We spent the day pulling this couples home together and creating a cohesive flow with her collected family art, Indian baskets, and great rustic hand painted pieces. We love the texture and beautiful worn colors throughout. The feel of this couples home is authentic to the western heritage of this land that is filled with remarkable history. A legendary land steeped in tales of endurance and survival. This area was once part of the Lazy F Ranch. This rugged terrain, once the backdrop of dramatic historical events such as Valle de las Lagrimas, stories of Charles Goodnight, the Red River War, and the Comancheros has a peaceful stillness about it now. What a fun day!

Hot-cha-cha: this sweet-meets-spicy raspberry pepper jelly will be a surefire hit with any heat seeker! Juicy berries meld with piquant habaneros to create the perfect pairing for cheese boards, sandwiches and wraps.

Hot Candied Bacon

Ingredients

1 pound thick cut bacon

2 Tablespoons Stonewall Kitchen Hot Pepper Raspberry Jam

1 Tablespoon toasted pecans, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 350° F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.

Lay bacon out in a single layer on prepared sheet pan. Paint a thin layer of Hot Pepper Raspberry Jam on each piece of bacon and cook for about 14–18 minutes, or until bacon is cooked to your liking and jam is lightly caramelized and bubbly.

Remove from heat and sprinkle evenly with chopped pecans. Carefully move to a new sheet-pan with a rack in order to cool. Enjoy with brunch, on a BLT, or as a late-night snack.

Waxed Amaryllis Bulbs for Mothers Day🌸

“Minerva” Pink & Coral Striped Amaryllis bulbs and White Blooms have arrived for Mother’s Day! Waxed Amaryllis bulbs do not require any water because the bulbs contain all the water and nutrients they need to flower. So cute wrapped up sitting on a hobnail candle!

Every bulb grows at its own rate. There is no way of controlling when they will actually bloom. Waxed Amaryllis bulbs usually grow two stems over 4-5 weeks, producing multiple flowers per stem over the next 3-4 weeks. Blooms should be expected in 8 to 9 weeks after purchase. Some can take even a little longer, around 10 – 18 weeks. 

We always recommend trimming withered blooms to promote further growth and to keep the Amaryllis in a well-lit room but avoid direct sunlight. Giving the bulb plenty of natural lighat will stimulate growth. Rotate it every couple of days to help it grow straighter. Be careful not to expose the bulbs to freezing conditions.
