Christmas Glitz

Love all the glitter and mercury glass on this table! So many beautiful and wonderful things in-love the brown & white transferware, glass script trays, and large brass hurricanes.

A Wonderful Time...

It was time for our Fall get together and Miss DD outdid herself again! Always a lovely time and fantastic atmosphere in her English Manor...(I went home and immediately starting cleaning and trying to teach myself to be detailed)

Oh say it ain't so-this beautiful Thanksgiving book neatly bowed up with chocolate satin ribbon. Her horn pewter tableware displayed, her husband got these for her he must have an eye for the good things!

Behind her kitchen farmhouse table this wonderful plate rack of blue & white-she also collects cow creamers-love!

Island in the kitchen-fantastic bread boards, wonderful jams, and scotty shortbread cookies(her Scottie is named Maggie), it's the details that makes a house stand out.

Woodland spode full of twine-we love twine it's beautiful to display and convenient to use on almost everything!

This is her "English Manor with a Texas Twist" room-the hereford hide on the floor mixed with the hide draped across the antique table. Love the large Indian book displayed in the background-so charming!

What a fantastic mount with the Spode Woodland displayed around him...

Thanks again! The breakfast was wonderful! Happy Birthday Kieta!

Christmas Inspiration...

So the store is decked for Christmas-Kathy, Kieta & Roseanna did an amazing job putting it all together so beautiful!

Please stop by and see us so many beautiful ideas and gifts for your special someone this Christmas....love all the beautiful gleaming ornaments hanging from pine garlands and trees. Red berries and pinecones are tucked here and there.

Love all the whites and greens on the farmhouse table-green suculents, pine garland, and white tulips...

The white Juliska dinnerware collection in this room pops and is so refreshing for a new season!

Our little antique bed in the back is so precious glittered up for the holidays-we already have a few gifts tucked here and there-ready to be taken home and put underneath the tree. Remember we have complimentory wrapping in-store with our beautiful papers and ribbons...

Just love this vintage-inspired Santa(notice he is in cream). He looks like something my grandmother might have had in an old cardboard box tucked away in her closet. Each year pulling out to admire and decorate for her house for Christmas...

Goodbye Europe...back to West Texas

This beautiful park that we visited is just beautiful. To me this is what the pathway to heaven would look like. It is just a picture!

Look how the trees are astoundingly perfect looking down this walkway...Every leaf leading the crunchy steps...

Could our trip have been more charming? The cobblestone streets we explored, falling leaves and crimson and gold trees turning for fall, and beautiful quaint little shops? Even the horses have that certain whimsy to them.

Until next time-Au Revoir!

Happy Halloween

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate,
The first one said,
"Oh my, it's getting late."
The second one said,
"But we don't care."
The third one said,
"I see witches in the air."
The fourth one said,
"Let's run, and run, and run."
The fifth one said,
"Get ready for some fun."
Then whoosh went the wind,
and out went the lights,
And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

To Market To Market

"Pre-done arrangements with cedar bases with big pods of ginger with a fall flair. Looking forward to creating my own for our "little cabin" to enjoy as we float down the Danube."

"We arrived late afternoon but still made it to the open air market...fresh fruit and fall vegetables being the center of attraction. Mounds of truffles and precious truffle oil being the star of the parade...surrounded by every mushroom God ever made! Flower stalls...so tempting....gradiose red berries on thicky stems, bundles of rosehips, freshly cut cedars, boxwood wreaths. Roses in the most shocking oranges....fresh roses in chartreuse tinged with fushia. My hands were sweating....what shall I choose?"

"German Christmas shops to explore along with all the distinct taste and flavors of German cuisine....warm, crispy pretzels to grilled sausages with golden mustards...."

An afternoon drive thru the German countryside....green meadows with round bales of hay framed out by dense fall trees...to Nuremberg, Germany.

Something to Write About..French Desks

What writers have set at this desk and wrote letters of love through the years? What part of France would it have come from? I wish it could talk-it is so precious and the patina is so pretty. Desk like this are getting harder to find-the bookcase on top is a plus it has stayed together throughout the years. We still have our sources for antique pieces and hope to get more in within a few weeks. Be sure to stop by and check them out-once they are gone we may not get another like them. Our prices are very reasonable as well!
