Summer is spent best with a homemade freezer of ice cream! Make it simple with this recipe and nothing is better so delicious!! Add a few slices of lemons if you desire…
Ingredients
1 jar Lemon Curd, chilled (Pick Your Jar Up At Bonnes Amies)
1 pint light cream, chilled
Directions
Whisk together the Lemon Curd and the light cream. Process according to your ice cream maker’s instructions. Stop when ice cream is thick and creamy.
For Krups Ice Cream makers: Pour chilled curd and cream mixture into the frozen cylinder. Process for 30-35 minutes until the ice cream is thick and creamy. Can be kept frozen for one week in the freezer.
**Prepared in the style of traditional English-style custard, our Lemon Curd adds a regal touch of sweet tartness to shortbread, scones, warmed gingerbread, cookies and pound cake. Try spreading our Lemon Curd in between a stack of pancakes. For a real treat, try our Lemon Curd in a pastry shell topped with fresh fruit and a dollop of whipped cream! We love it spread on a slice of pound cake topped with strawberries.

New Jan Barboglio🐂
It’s like Christmas around here we never know what packages that might arrive!! La Reina d’ Familia isn’t she beautiful? Our favorite saints, hand blown etched glass iron pieces, burro with its helpful and determined spirit, and sparkling hurricanes & candles will add a touch of old Mexico charm to your home!
Wax cast ‘beast of burden’ sculpture . . . add to a nativity, rest atop a bookshelf . . .modest burro, easy to dismiss, but always a beacon with its helpful and determined spirit . . .one of our favorite gift picks.
Cuerno Largo Toro…Longhorn wax cast iron sculpture. . .the boss of the bookcase, the inspiration on any desk. A great Father’s Day gift.
Romanced by the history and beauty of old Mexico, Jan Barboglio creates idyllic, hand-forged decorative pieces that will grace any home. All of her pieces are accompanied by a meaningful poem, sentiment, or proverb, and make wonderful housewarming, wedding, and birthday gifts! Remember we have Lay Away...It’s an easy way to make purchases that might otherwise cramp your budget. Each piece is beautiful…
Silk Appliqué Blessed Kimono🌺
The silk Appliqué Blessed Kimono in the beautiful color hibiscus is an amazing & versatile piece to wear to a summer wedding or garden party. So cute to simply wear over a simple tank and shorts…one of our favorite Magnolia Pearl pieces!
Made with exquisite modal satin with appliqué details & embroidery, hand-distressing & fading this kimono can be dressed up or down.
Meant to extend the life of a piece, appliqué both reinforces and reinvents. Be so lovingly and beautifully mended, protected and exalted in our elegant Blessed Kimono. Each Magnolia Pearl item is cut “One Size Fits Most”.
Each Magnolia Pearl piece itself is a story. The kind you think you know inside-out, but find new details revealed with each telling. Snippets of fairy tales overlay Huck Finn imagery, bolts of myth underpin psychedelic legends, and beneath it all, within it, resides you, the most glorious story of them all.
Our garments are just along for the ride — pieces of thread and light, sewn summations of surrender, and dreams, with a poem on the sleeve.

Migas for Breakfast🥚🌶️🫑🥑🥓
Migas for Breakfast
This recipe is for a simple breakfast that is loved by many, including both children and adults. What makes Migas great is that they do not use many ingredients, are relatively quick and easy to make, and they make good use of tortilla chips(which we all have in our kitchen). People like mixing in some diced vegetables, like onion, tomato, jalapeños, black olives, and bell peppers. Although it’s not as common, you can also add diced potatoes to your migas.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease 9×13 inch baking dish.
In large skillet, cook bacon pieces until almost crispy and add diced jalapeño/green chilis and onion. Cook over medium high heat until onion starts to soften.
Place crushed tortilla chips into baking dish and then layer with cooked bacon and onion mixture.
Whisk together eggs, milk, cream of tartar, salt, and black pepper and pour into baking dish.
Spread salsa over egg mixture and then sprinkle shredded cheese over top.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for 5 more minutes to brown cheese.
Remove from oven and garnish with cilantro, green onion, avocado, sour cream, and hot sauce. This is even better with Fresh Eggs from our shop kitchen and our yummy Peach Salsa!
