Metallic Croc Chair

We recently came across a group of antique wooden european chairs and gave them new life by recovering them in this fantastic metallic croc fabric! Loving the large nailheads finishing out the trim on this chair. I have a large suede chair that has seen better days would love to recover it in this upholstery fabric it would be durable and beautiful!

Love this large tiered white-washed Frenchy shelf filled with these beautiful woodland serving pieces. This piece would be fantastic in a bathroom with bath salts and linens folded on it-or in a kitchen filled with a pewter collection of teapots and saucers...a great piece! Fresh Rocki Gorman for 2013

 We are excited to get in some fresh new Rocki Gorman for 2013! Remember Valentine's Day is just around the corner...One stranded shimmering quartz above is beautiful with the silver story-stamped and scalloped Navajo heart and heart cross pendants with large bells attached.

Silver Touches

This little drop leaf table is full of these great silver deer they are perfect to work into any setting. These extra large leather bound books are so special would be great photo books or to hold keepsakes...Great croc and silver lamps and pedestal globe...kilim pillows scattered though out...snowy cedar garlands with red Christmas balls are so cool!

White tulips

One of my favorite looks and feel for Christmas is white tulips, paperwhite, and fresh greenery. And what a great way to continue through the holidays and a fresh "winter look". This turkish jug is stuffed full of white tulips, pine garland, and bright green glittery pine and silver glitter ferns. We also have silver glitter garlands that look so vintage and glittery-they will brighten any table up!
This old old French piece is great with a white marble top and brass hardware-it is a fabulous price as well!
This antique wardrobe is so beautiful filled with red Indian baskets, pearlescent tortoise glassware, and glittery cedar garlands and frosted jingle bell stems. It's so full it is almost overflowing!

Fall Postcard 2012

 This is our featured Fall postcard for this season the inspiration and theme is a "bohemian gypsy". We loved how it turned out for a fresh and colorful feel for this Autumn!
The back is full of information about new items arriving and decorating ideas for the season. Also is a wonderful recipe for Caramel Apple Butter Bundt Cake. We are currently searching for our next idea for the Christmas postcard!


 Here is another view of our back room love this antique pine table full of red berries and greenery. One of our large copper lanterns hanging above it is full of mercury glass and pine picks....this kilim rug and ottoman would look great together I just love it draped over the leather club chair...
These domes cloches placed over these aged copper mercury ornaments are so interesting love this log jug overflowing with pine garlands and lights!

It's Getting to Look A Lot Like Christmas....

The elves have been working and working to get every glittery stem and Christmas decor out and decorated this past week. Caramel Apple Butter Bundt Cake

Above is our Fall recipe for this season which is featured in our mailer going out this week. Just in is a large box of the new Stonewall Caramel Apple Butter this is what makes this cake so yummy! So stop by Bonnes Amies and get your jar today this is a simple and delicious recipe! The flavor of a county fair favorite wrapped comfortably inside a cake.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 jar Stonewall Kitchen Caramel Apple Butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Cake Batter:
1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
¾ cup sugar
3 eggs
1 ½ teaspoon Stonewall Kitchen Vanilla Extract
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease and flour a 10" Bundt pan.
In a small bowl, combine all of the filling ingredients. Set aside.
In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs to butter and sugar, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla and beat until smooth.
Alternately, add dry ingredients and sour cream into the resulting egg mixture, beating until smooth.
Measure 1/2 cup batter and add to the filling mixture.
Pour just over 1/2 of the batter into the pan.
Make a 1" trough in the center of the batter all the way around the pan.
Spread filling through.
Cover with remaining cake batter. Smooth around top, so the filling is completely covered.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the cake begins to pull away from the edges of the pan and a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Kilim Pillows

I have been waiting for the return of these great kilim pillows and they have arrived along with beautiful kilim rugs. The colors in these pillows are so vibrant and they come in a variety of sizes. These are great thrown on a leather couch or just about anywhere. They remind me of the mountains and Taos they are so good! And that extra large bee keep is so neat made of wicker it looks like something out of an english garden. This would be neat on a large buffet or table with fall garland wrapped around it-then when Spring arrives it would look fantastic in a garden!

My Favorite Things....

Some of the things I love in this picture...this enormous clock that looks like a very old pocket watch I think it has such character and would be so neat anywhere in your home. Love this big fat square kilim ottoman and the great petite english leather club chair in the background with that chocolate brown throw and pillows that feel like mohair and a great price! Talking about gift ideas I think all three of these would be fabulous gifts for Christmas.

Christmas Shopping Ideas

I have sworn this year I will start my shopping early for Christmas that way I have time to think about specific gifts and not be rushed. Venita's Corn Waffles w/ Tomato Salsa

 Venita brought corn waffles they were wonderful as well.  Loved the fresh salsa you garnished them with! These would make a great supper as well!

My recipe was Paula Dean's ham this is a super easy recipe and the ham comes out moist and delicious!

1 (18-pound) cured ham
2 (12-ounce) cans cola
Canned pineapple rings
Brown sugar
Maraschino cherries

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Place ham in a shallow roasting pan. Baste the ham with cola. With toothpicks, stick some pineapple rings on the ham, about 4 or 5 rings. Sprinkle some brown sugar on the rings. With toothpicks, place a cherry in each pineapple ring hole and then stick some cloves in the rings. Cover it with foil. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes per pound of ham, or until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees F. Baste with cola about every 30 minutes during cooking.

D'Ann's Anzac Biscuits

 D'Ann brought a fabulous frittata in a cast iron skillet and also a the recipe for Anzac Biscuits in the photo below. She recently returned from Africa and shared this recipe with us they are crunchy, sweet & delicious!
 Here is the table set we all admired the beautiful plaid tablecloth and tins full of goodies can't wait to hear more stories about her trip!
