Rugelach
My favorite the Apricot Jam...what a fun and interesting recipe can't wait to try it! A new order of jams and kitchen goods will be arriving this week!
Ingredients
Cream Cheese Pastry:
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup butter, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Jam Filling:
1/4 cup almonds or walnuts, finely chopped, optional
3/4 cup Apricot Jam (Pick Up your jar at Bonnes Amies)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Confectioner’s sugar, optional
Directions
In a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment (or a hand mixer can be used), combine the cream cheese and butter. Mix. Add the vanilla and mix until uniform. Add the flour and salt and mix until uniform and the dough forms a ball.
Remove from mixer, wrap in plastic wrap and chill 2 hours to overnight.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or grease.
For crescent shaped rugalach, divide dough into 3 equal parts. Roll each part into an 11-12 inch circle. Spread jam and nuts evenly over each circle, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Cut each circle into 16 wedges. Roll wedges starting at the wide end. Place on prepared baking sheet point side down.
For rolled rugalach, roll each dough part into a rectangle 1/8-inch thick (about 16x10-inches). Spread Jam over each rectangle, leaving a 1/4-inch border. Sprinkle nuts over jam and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. With the long edge of the rectangle facing you, roll up the dough. Gently tuck and tighten the roll as you go. Finish with the seam of the dough facing down. Cut each roll into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Place pieces on prepared pan seam side down.
Bake 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar if you desire.

Spirit Rattles
Infused with the joy of a small child’s treasure hunt, the wabi-sabi aesthetic of a Japanese tea master, and a powerful gratitude from the vast Chihuahuan Desert, innerSpirit Rattles are a palmful of happiness.
Made in a land far far away, in rural America, in the land of the Prada Marfa and Big Bend National Park, there is arguably a unique energy springing from the vast and peaceful area. The remote and rugged desert landscape has a curious way of reinforcing faith, dredging up an unknown inner strength, and stirring deep appreciation for even the simplest things.
Gift boxed with a story card that reads: American Indians used rattles to ensure blessings upon their crops. Use your rattle to help rattle some rain into your life, some rain out of your life, to rattle your worries away, or (if you insist) just to keep your papers from blowing astray. Shake to the rhythm of your favorite music, or the beat of your own drum.
A small piece of art...a great little inspiring gift...precious baby memento....Sit it on your desk or a special spot to rattle away! $26.00 each
