What a grand home it was and still is and everything around it is so beautiful! The Chateau was occupied by a very aristocratic and wealthy family many years ago.

The Chateau is surrounded by a mote and one time a draw bridge. A man by the name of
Jacques du Blé grew up here and died young during the religious wars in France.

The kitchen garden which was more up my alley! The garden was filled with kale, cabbages, and turnips! Everything had twig trellises-so interesting!

This is the kitchen that was later moved closer to the bedrooms after the wars started. The family wanted the kitchen closer to the wing in which they were staying.
