Bedroom Perk Up

A customer updating a bedroom wanted it clean, simple and interesting...Loved this collection of different and interesting items we worked up above this walnut poster bed. Cream platters, transfer ware lids, and pieces of art. My favorite is this vintage style leather handbag mixed in with a few succulents and white blossoms tucked inside of it...The simple and beautiful bedding finished it off.

One of our birch wreaths worked up with green ferns, white hydrangea, and green berries...something that is pretty all year round.
Collection of vintage stain glass bottles on this rustic tray on her dresser...just a touch of green to soften it. What a beautiful bedroom and haven for any company that visits her enjoy!

Texture Texture Texture...

Loving this new display draped and layered in washed velvet and chocolate burlap...stacked with great twisted and wild birch baskets and bowls, woven Indian baskets, carved cedar bowls and art, and rustic green metal baskets.
These crusted and aged turquoise glass jugs look like they were pulled from a shipwreck...beautiful muted aqua blues and browns. These interesting carved cedar bowls are so rustic and wonderful place one on your coffee table full of black & white photos with one of these great birch basket trays.
This large birch branch tray holds this glazed green pottery bowl perfectly...filled with pumpkins and green berries for Fall. A perfect centerpiece for a rustic farmhouse table. Add these scraped and colorful wooden candlesticks to the setting and you have one interesting and unique centerpiece for Fall. Place smaller pumpkins on top of the candlesticks for interest and height.
We also love our Navajo Indian Baskets always searching for these as they add a touch of warmth, interest, and texture to any home. Display them on your mantle for Fall or hang a collection on a large wall.

School Days...

Wishing everyone a great week and new school year ahead!

Freshly Painted Charcoal Living Room With Cream Linen Curtains...

We spent Friday installing these beautiful custom made soft cream linen curtains in this large and sunny living room. They seemed to add the finishing and warm touches to this great room! Puddled at the bottom and placed high on these great freshly painted charcoal walls I am inspired by these colors that will remain classic and timeless for a long time....
This summer the customer's project was updating her living room...first painting it with Sherwin Williams Manor House-a soft beautiful charcoal. Then picking out her beautiful linen at the shop so we could proceed getting fabric ordered, window treatments made, and then out to install them.
Her style is English Cottage with many quaint and special details...every inch of her home is warm and inviting. A theme and look in each special corner that is exactly her style and feel...love it.

Contemporary & Unique Home

An eclectic couple who has just built a contemporary & unique home. Their style ranges  from edgy contemporary, mixed with a rustic twist. He began collecting and she has jumped in on the fun...Collecting from travels, art and unusual antiques. Enjoy your beautiful new home it was fun to bring it together!
These two bright succulent and grass arrangements in concrete containers duplicated on either side of television finished this great rock fireplace.

Metal side tables grounded the chairs in front of the fireplace...and perfect size to hold a drink.

Special mementos and small art was displayed in this antique Nepal cabinet...the antique Victorian high chair seemed to fit right in with it. Along with their beautiful watercolors displayed above it and overlapping...
This old antique chopping block added a rustic touch to the modern and open kitchen...
Simple and bright table arrangement on metal top kitchen table...
Love the glass cloches with a collection underneath for something different.
Collection of smaller pieces of art displayed on coffee table...
The dining room hutch was filled with photographs from travels, small pieces of art, and then her white China was stacked and simplified inside. Made this hutch much more interesting and multi-purpose for other uses...
His office a collection of special mementos, family paintings, and rustic collection.

This collection of wooden cigar boxed worked in made this wall interesting and different with his grandmother's oil paintings. They were perfect to use to display old photographs and smaller pieces of art.
What little girl would not love this study room? A whole wall to chalk on and write her thoughts...This petite herringbone chair found just the right spot so she can read a good book.
This photo turned out so serene love the dripping chandelier above the tub so unique. This white linen bench was the perfect answer in this pretty bathroom.
The music room...we think what would finish it would be of course a great music quote. This is one I found and we placed it just to see how it would look. Amanda seems to have the sources for ordering wall quotes and designing them if you are ever looking. Until next time...

Pine Niche Boxes, Santos, Amber Glass Votives...

Our old Katmandu cabinet is filled with new and interesting items...pine niche boxes, Santos, rusty yet refined metal domes, gold and silver leaf birds, and some of the most beautiful amber glass votives we have ever seen...
Just in are a few wonderful hand carved wooden Santos...with rustic scrubbed bodies and glass eyes they are something to see indeed! Santos --meaning "Saints"-- are wood carvings that depict religious figures. During the early expansion of the Roman Catholic Church, religious icons were a valuable way of converting the poor and uneducated. Most important during the Spanish colonization of the Americas, Santos were often produced by local artists since having them made and shipped from Europe to America was too time consuming. Santos carvings are still used in small churches and for home altars all over the world. As a decor item they provide sanctuary and a sense of place.
Also love these large stuffed map pillows bound in leather and these great canvas and leather vintage-style handbags...an unusual and unique decorative item for your home. We see them hanging on a hook on a wall in a room with a beautiful bunch of sunflowers stuffed in it or just hanging on a coat rack very unique bags!

Sit On A Pumpkin...

"I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion." - Henry David Thoreau
A pair of our favorite lamps...rustic antler bases with coppery metallic barrel shades. A mix of rustic and contemporary they would be gorgeous in a mountain cabin for sure! This great island is stuffed full of uniques...french kitchen bread boards, glass chocolate signs, glass antiqued boxes, and much more...

New Items...

This old scrubbed cream hutch is filled with colorful folded grain sacks...perfect to stuff with a body pillow to make into a wonderful large foot pillow for a bed or to throw across a kitchen table as a topper...Also filled with great rustic metal trays, vintage-inspired record books, and frenchy decanters and containers for your kitchen or bath...
Overflowing with Fall goodness! Love the colorful Fall garlands wrapping around this hutch...
