Carved Teak Bowls, Sea Shells, Antiqued mirrored prints

New items arriving in-fantastic carved teak bowls inlaid with mother of pearl-I can see the large pearlescent sea shell in the middle of this table in a bathroom full of beautiful linens and soaps...These mirrored sepia prints look so old and wonderful that are in as well. Extra large cream landscape canvas print in the back is very neat as well!

Fall Projects

 We have been working on a few Fall projects in the store as new items arrive...moving this and that love this tufted linen chair next to this great distressed black and aqua chest...

After painting this wall a peacock blue we moved our back bedroom around. I think this large chalkboard would be fabulous in a children's room, or look so neat in a kitchen...

New Fall Tunic Sets & Tube Skirts

Love these new tunic sets that are in-beautiful colors in teel, charcoal, tan and black they are cool and comfortable. Mix and match them for Fall-cute tube skirts in red and black are also in with sleeveless tunic tops. Cute to dress up for the evening or dress down for a Sunday afternoon!

English Cottage Inspiration

Recently we had the pleasure to have a birthday breakfast party at a dear friend's house. We always leave with inspiration and happiness! One of my favorite things was this deer mount surrounded in cotton every detail makes him more special.

Love her farmhouse collection of cream dishes, wicker baskets, and old pitchforks surrounding this old oak antique piece-so creative.

Here is a close up-love those large platters stacked and her santos is so lovely!

Here is her farmhouse style table set with burlap, red & white transferware, and cream chargers-so pretty for summer!

Roasted garden tomatoes and quiche beautiful and delicious!

Late Summer Postcard

Grilled Pound Cake and Aged Balsamic Macerated Strawberries

Ingredients
1 package pound cake, sliced 3/4 inch
2 pints strawberries
4 oz. Stonewall Kitchen Aged Balsamic Vinegar (Pick Yours Up At Bonnes Amies)
3 tablespoons sugar
2 whole oranges, juice of
3 cups whipping cream
3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
1.Clean and quarter strawberries and place them into a bowl.
2.Combine strawberries with vinegar, sugar and the juice of 1 orange and mix gently. Refrigerate for about 1 hour.
3.In a mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients and the juice of the other orange and whip into a thick cream.
4.Preheat grill to a medium-high heat and grill pound cake slices on both sides for about 1 minute or until lightly marked.
5.On a serving platter, lay down half of the grilled pound cake and spoon strawberries and liquid over, place a big dollop of the orange cream on to the berries and place the other pieces of grilled pound cake on top of the cream.
6.Garnish with fresh mint and serve.

Glazed Bowls & Jugs For Fall & Harvest Baskets

Just arrived in are these great earthenware bowls and jugs in greens, chocolate browns, and golds-glazed and hand thrown perfectly they are wonderful additions for Fall for your home...My favorite is the large glazed bowl with a lip they are made to use as well!

After today I am ready to go home and pull my sunflowers and Fall out we start Fall houses in a few weeks time flies!

Madonna & Child Oil Painting

Still gravitate to this corner in the shop this soft and unusual painting of Madonna & child. It reminds me of maybe a russian iconic painting with gold leaf or maybe an old painting in a adobe church in Santa Fe so pretty! Especially hung above this scrubbed and scraped little chest...hand-blown mexican glassware underneath her fun items!

Harvest Table...Wicker Baskets & Old Casks...Olive Jars

 Still loving this fantastic large and heavy harvest table in our back room full of these extra large european baskets, old glazed olive jars, and antique wicker cask. I can see all of these worked up on a large rustic coffee table or the middle of the harvest table yummy!

Recently in are the fantastic cast iron door pulls in a variety of styles-perfect for a set of french doors don't you think?
