New Things....
Love the sweet items arriving weekly-blooming sprigs and sticks with white and pink blooms and concrete birds that can be featured anywhere even under a glass dome. And these interesting chains that you can clip these great vintage Paris banners, old photographs or postcards or anything you can think of...
Spring/Easter Dining Room
Getting ready for Easter and Spring I found my pale turquoise chicken eggs that we blew out last year and these fuzzy yellow ducks....Used these white tulips and hydrangeas and put a nest inside the large cut glass container....
My Santos always has a theme so this Spring she had to be holding a nest of course with tiny quail eggs and limelight coleus crawling out from her arms....We have a box of wonderful fresh lemons loved filling my large glass jar with them....Spring Inspiration!

This is a time of renewal
as it happens every spring.
The flowers now are blooming
The birds begin to sing.
Easter is a time of hope
and a day of rebirth.
It shows that winter’s over
And spring has come to earth.

This is the fantastic recipe featured in our Spring mailer that should be arriving at your mailbox today. Here is the recipe I plan on trying myself this weekend for Easter! We have just ordered a case of Stonewall Lemon Curd so stop by and get your jar to make this wonderful cream pie.
Ingredients
1-9 inch prepared piecrust, baked
3 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
3/4 cup Stonewall Kitchen Lemon Curd
3/4 cup confectioners’ or superfine sugar
1 cup whipping cream, whipped to stiff peaks
1-pound fresh small or medium strawberries, stems removed
1/2 pound fresh strawberries, stems removed and sliced
1/4 cup currant jelly
1 Tbs. Grand Marnier (optional)
Directions
Make sure the prepared baked piecrust is cooled completely.
In an electric mixer fitted with a paddle (or in a bowl using a hand mixer) add cream cheese and mix until fluffy. Add Stonewall Kitchen Lemon Curd, and sugar. Mix until uniform. Gently fold in the whipped whipping cream.
Place whole strawberries in the bottom of the cooled piecrust. Spread the lemon cream over the whole strawberries. Decorate the top of the pie with sliced strawberries and blueberries.
In a small saucepan heat the currant jelly, add the Grand Marnier. Cool glaze and brush over the berries.
Chill the pie in the refrigerator several hours before serving.

Eggs For Easter
Love our antique back table filled with wicker cloches, egg wreaths, mossy rabbits and blue & white Spode. Aren't those ostrich eggs unusual stacked underneath that domed cloche? I especially think the big mossy square tray would be wonderful as a centerpiece on an Easter table or beautiful with glass trays in it to serve out of....
Here is a close up more eggs! It's definitely Springtime in the shop!

Old French Postcard + Spring Mailer
Working on our Spring mailer today. Found this great old French postcard dated 3/21/1913 that we are using for the front. Our recipe featured will be Strawberry Lemon Cream pie with our Stonewall Lemon curd for Easter. Message us if you would like to be on the mailing list!
Here is the back of the old postcard. Beautiful and perfect handwriting...Can you read what the postcard says to Meme?
"As good a translation I can come up with is:
Dear Meme,
The doctor told me yesterday that my problem was a hip problem and an ameliaration (infection?) It makes walking painful and I take small steps. He said I have no more infection. The hip is causing no more fever. We are continuing tincture of iodine with cotton and using stretch bandage, I will return in one month. I am happy to be here and can walk a few small steps, Darling Meme, I hope that you are always in perfect health and that you live forever in my life. Until we are reunited, Darling Meme, the most tender caresses and warmest kisses to this little girl. Friendship (Love) from Maman.
I can't guarantee each and every word, but this the gist. Been a long time!"
