More Antique Chinese Pieces...

Love this old Hebei letterbox. What stories it could tell us of what special possessions and letters were held inside and where it was it stored in a home. Hebei is a province of the People's Republic of China in the North China region. Its one-character abbreviation is named after Ji Province, a Han Dynasty province that included what is now southern Hebei. The name Hebei means "north of the Yellow River.
Here are some more wonderful old pieces mixed in with our great colorful woven baskets. Love this large cabbage basket and square water pail next to it. These large buckets are great to hold books and magazines in, or fill it full of yellow sunflowers as a focal point on a table. Also in are old Chinese footed bowls in reds, yellows, and greens and carved wooden spoons.

If you can see underneath everything here is a very old Chinese horse trough. It would be fantastic with a large slab of granite on top for an island or table. Love the old black water bucket below and also in are a variety of small colorful children's chairs. We also have in very large Chinese bowls and baby baskets.
